Several men from Secaucus recently visited the Liberty Science Center with one of the teachers in Integrity House’s education department. The group started their visit at the IMAX theater where they followed astronauts on the Atlantic spaceshuttle fixing the Hubble space telescope. The guys experienced what it is it like to work on the telescope including trying to keep parts from flying away due to gravity. Then, looking through the telescope, they saw the birth of new stars.
The group also visited exhibits about the food chain, infections and bacteria and Mars. Several men tried on a harness that simulated what it would be like to walk on Mars. The group ended their trip looking at an exhibit about skyscrapers where they learned the history, planning, design, engineering, and technology of these amazing structures. This exhibit even simulated what a hurricane would feel like within a skyscraper. The men had to put on ponchos and goggles to protect them from the rain hitting the building.
Overall, the group had a great time and learned a lot about the world around them.
